Another year is underway and the annual Washington's Birthday Marathon is rapidly approaching! This year it will be held Sunday February 18, 2018 from 10:00am to 4:30pm (6.5 hours) in Greenbelt . We will meet in the old visitors center parking lot around 9:00am to figure out assignments and deploy to the course. The course is unchanged, so if you have last year's map your set.  If you need one check out this link for a map of the course:

We hope to be using the Greenbelt repeater W3GMR 146.880 (-) for good coverage of the course. We will use the club simplex frequency of 147.54MHz for a back up. Many of the points we man along the course will allow operators to remain in their vehicles and out of the cold most of the time. The DC Roadrunners really appreciate the communication services we provide and we get practice in the field with our equipment. I need to get a list of operators to cover the course. Please let me know if you can help out! All are welcome to help out! If you can't make the whole day there is plenty of opportunity to help out for shorter stretches of time. Just let me know!! So mark your calendar and send me a note letting me know you can come out to help!
